Welcome To Church Stretton Cricket Club
Welcome to the online home of Church Stretton Cricket Club. Church Stretton is located in the beautiful South Shropshire countryside. It's the perfect setting for traditional village cricket, soon to be neatly finished off with a brand new pavilion. Our ground, screened by trees but still enjoying magnificent views of the Caer Caradoc and Long Mynd Valley, is set in the middle of Church Stretton. The wicket, outfield and grounds are very well maintained and are a joy for players and spectators alike.
We have a Saturday First XI playing in the Shropshire Cricket League Division Two and a Friendly XI that play on a Sunday against Shropshire teams and touring sides. We are a friendly club, drawing most of our players from Church Stretton and the surrounding area, but we also have players from further afield, including some who escape for a weekend to the countryside from Oxford and Milton Keynes. We also have an Aussie and Kiwi in the ranks.
Visitors are always welcome at home matches. See our fixtures page for details of our upcoming games. Most Saturday games start at 2.00pm and Sunday games at 2.30pm. Our tea interval is usually around 4.30pm or 5.00pm, and visitors are always welcome to join us for a cuppa!
If you are interested in playing for the club or just want to find out more about us then do get in touch via our contact page.
